So the 2nd LEVY record is coming along beautifully, 19 songs recorded in two days, James is busy working away on vocals while we all wait like puppies at the top of the stairs to hear what hes been singing, soon, soon soon...

its been a busy weekend, its been an intense weekend. you'll "hear" all about it very very soon. all i'll say is we are all very excited. Thanks so much to the guys at Crackers United for having us, the show was much fun and im very glad all our nyc friends came out to play with us for 45 minutes, it was very memorable. dont forget, July 11th, LEVY, SOFT, MY BEST FIEND, cake shop free show...yesss

we've been busy this weekend...

so tomorrow is the sin-e show, will be good to see friends the big sleep. im apt sitting till friday so im resting on 57th street today, glad it isnt so hot out yeas. we play at 10pm, unsacred hearts at 9pm, then the big sleep at 11pm, so come early and drink some free sparks and see all the bands play. heres that flyer again.

its 6:16pm, just woke up from a full days nap. we flew from toronto at the ungodly hour of 9:30am, myself and james L stayed up through the night since we had to drive from toronto to buffalo at 6am, so you know. the show was great, thanks to all our new friends in canada for coming to see us...thanks a ton to Ben, who i must say took very good care of us, be it pizza outside the drake, or many many drinks, or taking me to a strip club, hes a good guy, and should be rewarded with only the finest of gifts. he made it all possible.

so my eyes are very heavy still and i need to find food, but its good to be home even if its about 130 outside. see you in a few days at the big sleep levy knockout extravaganza special.

so went out canada style last night with ben, whos put together the show for us. we were kind of all over the place, ben feeding us drinks (which is always a good idea) meeting different people, by the end i was eating nachos at 3am then suddenly i'm at bens house and a bed has unfolded on bens floor (i was very happy about staying at bens because this ment i didnt have to spoon a member of my band since we only have two big double beds in our hotel room which all 4 of us are sharing) theres more to last nights story which i wont get into (strip clubs, and..) but it was a healthy night out and a good first look at toronto. i must say, yes.

so long story short, i slept like a baby, finally.
tonights the show, and im very much looking fwd to it.

oh yes, we stopped by niagara falls on the way.

So we head to toronto tomorrow, we'll be there through sunday. 7:30am flight tomorrow, and then we head over to toronto radio station CIUT (www.ciut.fm) for a live interview, you can catch it at 4pmish.



after the radio show we'll be headed out for an evening of drinks, maybe some german dance parties, hat games, reality tv shows...who knows.

the following evening (the 17th) we play at the drake underground, heres the info you'll need to be where you should be. yes.

our dear friends, Mike & Lindsey aka Crackerfarm, just got married in Arizona, we send them all of our love and congrats and all those good things that go along. but all i wanna know is when we can expect small crackers running around the farm?



so during this LEVY downtime, ive been spending my time drinking. last night, Vincent & i went to see Dan play at the annex, after the show it gets very very blurry.

we head to toronto soon, on the 17th we play the drake underground.

this here boy is amazing

i was going through old things on our server, and i found this, i think most of you have heard it, but maybe some of you havnt. back in september 2005, we went to the uk for the first time, we played rotten love & on the dance floor (acoustic) live on the BBC. its memory lane for me, and always fun to listen back... listen to it right here

also, during that same trip we played a few songs on XFM in london, we played rotten love, on the dance floor & rector street, these songs are full band tracks, live in the studio of course, but not acoustic, no. you can listen to those right here you'll need to have windows media player installed for that to work correctly, and its well worth it, i say.

i feel like i'm going slightly insane, not playing, half the band out of the town. i'm uptown visiting the family watching the sun set over the city, mmm yes. crisp crisp. see you soon x - matthew levy 1 ov 4.

im very pleased we are playing with our pals The Big Sleep again, danny is to good to answer his phone, but i'm sure we'll get some good one on one boy action at the show, you know. the show is being put on by the good people at Crackers United and i dont drink it, but i hear there will be free Sparks.



besides that, no other news to report. half of the band is going out of town, leaving myself and James Broughel alone to play four square in the park all by ourselves. I got locked out of my apartment last night and spent about 3 hours trying to get the door open with my drivers license. it didnt work and i ruined my license. i think i'm going to a friends modern dance troupe called "freefall" tonight, its been a while since ive gone to see a modern dance troupe, but the time always comes, and the rain, you know, oh it all works.
