Hello all, matthew here. what a pleasure it was to see everyone out last night, packing the delancey for the LEVY / SOFT show, i think its one of my favourite shows we've played, thanks to the front row for being so hyper, it always helps, you know who you are. and also to all our new friends whom i had the pleasure of meeting last night, you also know who you are. hope to see you all again soon.

My night continued into the morning, myself, Fred & Joe from My Best Fiend, Natia, Meghan & Brit found ourselves in greenpoint at a hot sticky, damp, loud smoke filled afterhours dance party, highlights included laying on the roof of the building in a broken lawn chair looking at all six stars since in new york, you can only see 6, if your lucky. the night continued onto Enids, then home, where i found the apartment still recording ready post a My Best Fiend daytime recording session. so i helped myself to the guitars still plugged in and zoned out for an hour or two. yes, another great evening. indeed.

so back to business, we head to boston in a few days with the amazing SOFT boys, we'll be sharing a van and driving up together, will make for plenty of stories i'm sure, and photos. i've actually switched to film again, since my digital was stolen, all for the better, yes. heres the poster for the show.



this show should be great, we hope our MA friends will be able to make it out, since LEVY & SOFT together is a very special thing, as some of you already know. The following day (post show) SOFT fly to Japan for their first dates over their supporting their japanese release of "Hot Club & The Smoke Machine" which is charting #14 at the moment. congrats to the boys indeed.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Annex, sorry we went on so late. it was a bit of a crazy bill, 5 bands, tons of gear everywhere, i think we went on a bit late, so, sorry for that. but tonight will be the one, im quite sure of this. look for us upstairs on the patio drinking, without a doubt.

On The Dance Floor is being featured in its first feature film, its not quite about the song, in any way, but someone decided that it would be great in a new film starring Jeremy Piven & Daryl Hannah.



The movie is called "Keeping Up With The Steins" and if you ever needed a real reason to go watch a movie, here it is. us. even if you hate the movie, you'll be able to hear our song for maybe 15 seconds, which is always a great way to pass the time.

Ah, so last night felt good. first show back in new york was just how i hoped, lots of friends and whiskey. one of those dear friends, Mr Mark Sarosi was kinda enough to take photos during/after/before the show, he says he has about 256, but he quickly sent me these via the internet about 20 minutes ago. thanks so much to everyone that came out last night new friends old friends yet to be friends and inbetween. x - matthew.

Hello matthew here, tuesdays the big bowery show. we're all looking fwd to this, very much. its our first show in nyc since we got back, and its safe to say, its going to be amazing.

ive got two other shows to announce. we're gonna be teaming up with our dear brothers, and friends, SOFT for two upcoming shows. the first one will be on Saturday May 20th at Delancey in NYC. this was just announced, so your the first to know.

then we are driving to boston together to join another nyc band, Benzos, at Great Scott for a show on May 25th. so, lots of SOFT love, as we like it. you know.
